Overview

You can celebrate the unique blend of Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American cultures at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

The hotel blends Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American cultures in a lakeside setting. it lines up waterfront eateries and a pool beside a 50-foot Mayan pyramid.

There are nods to ancient Mexico all over the complex. The main pool features a Mayan pyramid waterfall. Rooms have cocoa-brown and jade-green interiors, and are arranged in pastel-painted casitas blocks.

Each room booking must include a guest aged 21 or above. When you arrive, you may be asked for a credit card to cover any ad hoc purchases, and a deposit, which will be refunded at the end of your stay – provided no damage has been caused to your room or its contents.

Pool

The Dig Site pool complex includes a big pool accessorised with a 50-foot-high Mayan step pyramid, and a waterslide overlooked by a statue of a jaguar. Thereโ€™s also three smaller pools, and a 22-seater hot tub. Each accommodation block comes with its own pool, so you can sunbathe or take a dip away from the hustle and bustle of the central Dig Site.

A variety of Mexican dishes are served up in the resortโ€™s main, temple-designed restaurant, Maya Grill*. You can also visit the colourful El Mercado de Coronado food court. Rooftop dining’s on the cards at Toldeo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood and you can dine by the lakeside in Three Bridges Bar & Grill. You can pick up quick bites from Cafรฉ Rix*, or at the poolside snack bar, Siestas Cantina. The stylish Rix Sports Bar & Grill, meanwhile, serves omelettes for breakfast and gourmet burgers and salads for lunch and dinner.

Entertainment

When the sun goes down, campfires are lit and everyone gathers around for traditional activities, and marshmallow-roasting. Then, Disney films are played on a big screen next to the pool. Youโ€™ve got two bars for post-dinner drinks. One overlooks the lake, and the otherโ€™s a classy indoor venue, where you can signature cocktails like the birthday caketini, and the jalapeรฑo margarita.
