The hotel’s calling card has to be its setting. Worthing Beach’s sugary sands creep up towards the property’s palm-studded gardens. And it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the famous St Lawrence Gap.

Pool

Centre stage is reserved for the hotel’s pool. It’s a slender number that stretches down towards the beach.

Food & drink

You’ll have a pair of restaurants to choose from. The main eatery serves buffet meals with a focus on Caribbean-fusion cuisine. At dinnertime, there’s an à la carte option, too. It’s open four nights per week and a reservation is required.

• On The Water restaurantOpening Times: [06:30-10:00, 12:00-14:30, 16:00-17:30, 18:30-22:00.]This restaurant offers an à la carte menu of international and Caribbean dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s also a vegetarian and children’s menu, too. You’ll need to book a table at lunch and dinner here.
• Noir | A la carte restaurantThis à la carte is open for dinner – and you’ll need to book a table to dine here. It’s open four nights a week, subject to occupancy. If you have a booking here, you will also have access to a rooftop bar for drinks before or after your meal.
• Kids’ diningHighchairs are available, and kids can choose from a special menu.

• Restaurant dress codeIt’s formal attire for meals in the à la carte restaurant – men are asked to wear full-length trousers or smart jeans, a shirt with sleeves, and smart shoes. In the Beachside restaurant it’s smart casual attire – men may wear tailored shorts or smart jeans, and a short sleeved shirt, including a polo shirt. Ladies are asked to not show off their midriff when dining at the Beachside restaurant. Please leave the sportswear, baseball caps, flip flops and trainers in your room.
• BarThere’s a second bar at The Sands Barbados – it is only open for when dining at the Noir à la carte.
• A la carte diningGuests can dine in the à la carte restaurant once per stay. Subject to availability – guests may be able to request a table, for a second visit, but this visit is at an additional cost. Noir is open four nights a week only.

Entertainment

There is a beachfront bar available for after-dinner drinks. Plus, you can look forward to live music in the restaurant every night. If you want to get out for the night, the rum shacks and bars of St Lawrence Gap are just around the corner.

Sports & activities

A whole host of watersports are on offer at the beach – Hobie Cats, paddleboards, snorkels and kayaks are all free to borrow. You can opt for a complimentary diving lesson in the pool, as well. There is also a gym in the hotel.
